Pep Boys - "Road Ahead Retail Concept"

The specialty retailer, Pep Boys, is historically known as a DIY, car enthusiast, go-to resource. Despite success, the company found they were underserving a large market: “do-it-for-me” drivers that included female customers. To win the segment over, Pep Boys worked with EWI Worldwide to execute a new retail environment. Conducting store audits and employing customer and market research, EWI designed to deliver a warm, impactful concept that played directly to the brand’s rich heritage, dating back to 1921. From new, intuitive navigation to a "dealership" feel for the service lounge, every turn of the new “Road Ahead” store syncs to deliver a high-end experience. Armed with a keen understanding of the brand strategy we evaluated every point of human engagement starting with the exterior of the building and carrying throughout the sales floor to the restrooms and associate break room.  The result is a comprehensive branded experience. With increased per store sales, Pep Boys is truly on the “Road Ahead”, and the Pep Boys leadership team calls it “a real payoff.”
